Fabrique
Ibiza on the Moscow River, Fabrique has that vibe at 4:30 am, when Moscow’s beautiful young students groove to techno that’s much more danceable than in most Moscow clubs and down Long Island iced teas and Absolute Jazz cocktails. By some accounts (at least in the writing of Russian novelist Sergei Minaev), it’s legendary for its drug scene too. There are DJ parties every Friday and Saturday (it’s strictly a weekend club, except New Year’s Eve). A restaurant serves the usual Moscow mix of sushi and Italian standards in a section of the nearly 15,000-square-foot, bi-level club.
Piramida
Ancient Egypt reinvented as intergalactic sushi lounge. Primary shades of red and blue set against three sided glass dome overlooking Pushkin Square. Favorite hangout of yesterday’s power players and the, ahem, working girls who still love them. Still popular because of its good location. Open ‘round the clock. Yet another place in Moscow where you can eat beef stroganoff and sushi at the same time while listening to a DJ spin trance and tech house.
Dolls
Elite strip club Dolls is one of the most comfortable and exquisite club in the world which offers variuous dynamic and colourful striptease shows. Dolls Striptease Club the wonderland of fairies is located in the center of Moscow at 23B Krasnaya Presnya Street.
Propaganda
Another Propaganda but we forgive them since this is Moscow and they’re the past masters of the dark art. A laid back clubby bar that attracts middle class Russians and moneyed ex-pats plus local and foreign students into techno and acid jazz. Thursday is a big night and gets predictably packed but it shouldn’t stop you topping up on lemon vodka and chatting up that Anna Kournikova lookalike by the bar. Believe the Propaganda!
Night Flight
A Moscow landmark since 1991 and the originator of the nightlife club era in Moscow.
Night Flight is the home of entertainment and the venue for having a good time with colleagues, clients, partners and friends.
Of course, you can have all this 365 days a year. Opening hours are from 21.00 to 05.00.
Hebb
A big club (more than 1000 people), not very nice inside, but sometimes features great concerts. Among foreign groups that came there recently are: “Red Snapper” and “The State of Bengal”. Russian groups play here regulary with an emphasis on punk and metal bands, but other genres are respresented as well.
Mio Club
The cozy chamber-like Mio club-cafe consists of several zones. There is a cafe, a dance floor and a chill-out. The interior of the club is the masterful combination of several contrasting styles – Futuristic High-Tech and Japanese Modern. Streamy blue light, comfortable sofas in the cafe, screens set into the floor of the chill out room impress the guests of the Mio greatly.
The capacity of the Mio dance floor is 300, the capacity of the cafe is 50 and the chill-out can seat up to 30 guests at once.
The Mio Cafe serves popular dishes of European and Oriental cuisine (needless to mention that sushi and sashimi are among them). In the evening and at night the dishes of so-called Wok Menu are all the rage. Dishes cooked in Wok, a conical metal pan used by the Chinese for centuries, practically don’t contain fat and that’s why are popular with those who hold to healthy life style.
One of the most popular dance floors of Moscow, the Mio is a club of choice for those who prefer lounge, easy listening, house and R&B music. Among the special events of the Mio the concerts of foreign guest DJs should be mentioned.
The Mio Club has a restricted door policy with face control and age requirement (over 22). The guests of the club are offered free parking.
Gaudi Arena Club
The club is the best venue in Moscow if you want to have a whale of a time. If you are a lover of dance music, then Gaudi Arena Club is the ultimate choice for you. It attracts big- name international DJs.
As you enter the club you will be mesmerized by its beauty. There is a main level with a large dance floor and an upstairs VIP level. The main level is meant to convey the atmosphere of a warehouse while the VIP level, replete with chandeliers, feels more like a medieval castle and seems to transport you back in time.
The club includes seven bars, a chill- out zone and plenty of comfortable couches. The central stage makes the DJ clearly visible from both levels. The club also employs some very talented VJs and dancers.
Drinks are reasonably priced with most spirits and beers between 100- 150 rubles.
They also offer mouth watering cuisine to go with the drinks. The club offers the best in nightlife and entertainment.
Gorod Club
This is Moscow’s techno music paradise frequented by the leading European (especially German) DJs and live acts. Two dancefloors: a more intimate one adjacent to a bar, and a big one with a stage and projection screen. The crowd is quite mixed and you can still meet some slightly agressive suburban teenagers, but the good music brings everybody together and they dance spreading good vibes throughout the whole place.
Solyanka Club
The Solyanka Club, a three storey 19th century townhouse, is situated in the very centre of Moscow. Inside, the club itself is as much a product of the design as it is of the private atmosphere. Oversized leather armchairs anchor vintage carpets, mirrors frame pre-revolutionary chandeliers. Together with its clientele, the Solyanka club is imbued with the air of a private apartment, recasting this venue into a modern day salon. Solyanka has a diverse music policy, hosting various nights from Thursdays, through Fridays, until Saturdays. Thursdays boast the full spectrum of hip hop music. Friday is all techno and its tech-house derivatives. Saturdays enjoy a rotating schedule, with parties that span from Nu-Rave to Dancehall.
